| Kim, Those runners are not contacting the soil enough to root well. They will likely root in time but you may need to mow a little more often. Regular mowing is the best way to make bermuda thick and attractive. Bermuda needs full sun, periodic watering and small, regular fertilizer applications to do its best. Give it one more fertilizer application this year in late September. Select a product with a nutrient ratio of 3-1-2 such as 15-5-10 or 8-2-4.
