|I was able to overwinter my bajoo banana tree last year, though it was in a very protected by my concrete block garage with a western exposure. Now I would like to move it closer to the middle of my yard which is about 30 feet away. My main concern is what is the best time to transplant the bajoo banana, with Ohio winters. should I leave it until spring and leave the root system intact, or move it in the fall so the roots can get established over winter. My personal thought is to cutback in fall, mulch heavy, and move in spring after growth begin's and give the roots there best chance to survive, However you are the experts. Thank you in advance..Steve.
