Do I wait until spring to plant or could I plant Bright n Tight Cherry laurel now in my yard? I need a screen from the sun and would like to get it started asap. It does not say how fast it will grow other than moderate grower. How much will it grow?

Fall is an excellent time to plant shrubs. The temperatures are cooler and rainfall usually abundant - both conditions will encourage quick establishment and the roots will continue to grow during the winter months. By spring, your shrubs should be ready to put on new growth. Moderately growing shrubs can generally be counted on to put on 6-12" of new growth per year. Growth depends upon growing conditions, though so be sure to water on a regular basis during the growing season. Best wishes with your new privacy screen!
