|My Orange Cape Honeysuckles are dying, the leaves start to wilt and then dry up. No discoloratin occurs. No sign of disease or insect infestation. What could it be? I had five. I lost one and now am seeing the same signs with another one.|
Either something is killing the stems at the point of where the wilt starts, or if it is happening to entire shoots or the entire plant it is a root problem. Dry soil, soggy wet soil (which excludes oxygen and kills roots), or physical injury from digging can all cause such problems. Watch out for overwatering as that is the more common cause. Just keep the soil moist.
