I am looking for a spefic plants that my dad has at his house. He told me that he thought it was piori. I am unable to find it on the internet but it may be spelled wrong. Here is the description of the plant. It is green leaves with a white to cream strip down the middle, it appears that it would be the grasses category, and currently has blue/purple spikes or a cluster of balls coming out of them. They grow only about 1-2 feet tall and wide. Any help in this matter would help. I will be using them as a border plant with red mulch. Thanks

I think it is a variegated form of Liriope, probably Liriope muscari 'Variegata'. I should mention that this plant is usually considered hardy into zone 6, but your zip code 46052 places you in zone 5A, the coldest part of zone 5. Depending on your microclimate, it is possibly as cold as zone 4. You might check with your local county extension and local professional nursery staff and see if they think it will survive your winters or not -- that is substantially colder than I would expect Liriope to do well.
