Gardening in containers is a really great way to increase your garden space, create instant color in your landscape, and bring color and fragrance to your porch or patio.

Just choose containers that are deep and wide enough for your plants, and that will provide adequate drainage. Use potting mix rather than garden soil to fill them, and remember that plants in containers will need to be watered more frequently than plants growing out in the garden.

Here are a couple of really good books oncontainer gardening:

Step by Step Guide to Patio and Container Gardening
Published by Courage Books
ISBN# 0762401222

Container Gardening
by Nigel Colborn
Published by Crescent Books
ISBN# 051712114X

100 Plants for Potsand Containers
by Mary Moody
Published by Crescent Books
ISBN# 0517121255

Good luck with your project!
