i am growing the teenie genie as a bonsai and the leaves are very pale like the do not have iron or fertilizer. i feed them every week with 20-20-20 and iron and adjust the ph to be acid. all the other plants are doing well with this treatment and there are a wide varity. any suggestions. thanks virgil weiss

Virgil,

I am not familiar with that plant's suitability to being put into bonzai culture. If you have provided appropriate nutrition as you indictated the problem must lie in the roots being injured. Soggy wet conditions (ususally due to poor drainage) cause iron deficiency and other such problems. Watch the soil moisture carefully and hopefully it will run around in time. Try switching to a fertilizer without the middle number, phosphorus, as high levels of phosphorus lock up iron making it unavailable.
