Tulips, including this one, would grow great planted outside in your area. They would be planted in mid to late October in a spot with full sun and well drained soil. To grow them indoors is fairly complex, because you have to provide them with a fairly long winter chilling period or they will not bloom. The overall process of growing bulbs in a container like this is called forcing, and once tulips have been forced they are usually thrown away. Here are instructions if you wish to try it. YOu may need to cut and paste the complete url into your browser to make it work correctly.

Good luck with your tulips!
