Tucson, AZ

I just planted 14 Monrovia Huntington Carpet Rosemary plants in Tucson, AZ; southern exposure - still pretty intense sun in early October.

The plants look a little dry. How frequently should they be watered while they are establishing?

thanks.

Once established, your rosemary will be drought tolerant. But until then, watering deeply once each week should be sufficient for the plants. It's difficult to recommend exactly how much water you need to apply - it depends upon your soil and just how long the weather remains hot. Apply water slowly so it has a chance to trickle down and wet the entire root mass, at least as deep as the roots are growing. Do this once each week. Best wishes with your garden!
