| Citrus trees must reach a certain point in maturity before they will flower and set fruit, so when your trees will begin producing depends upon their current age and the care that they receive. Warmth and sunshine will help your trees develop flowers and fruit, as will consistent moisture and regular feeding with a diluted liquid fertilizer. I use a half-strength dilution of liquid 20-20-20 and feed every 3-4 weeks all year around. Citrus trees are not routinely pruned, but you can remove a dead or diseased branch if necessary. Try to give your trees at least 6 hours of direct sunlight; I'm guessing you'll be wintering yours over indoors so place your trees in the brightest spot possible so they'll remain healthy over the winter months.
