|My Plum is not growing. Can you help me?|
|Like all fruit trees, plum trees need to be planted in full sunshine, in well draining soils. Annual fertilizing with a 10-10-10 formulation is important to the development of foliage and new wood. If your tree is not growing well, it may not be getting enough sunshine, or the soil is not draining well. If the tree is small, you can move it to another spot in the garden. If it's a mature tree and is being shaded by other trees on the property, perhaps you can do some selective pruning to provide more sunlight to your plum.
Wait until next spring, then feed your tree and prune it back slightly. These two treatments should encourage new growth.
Best wishes with your landscape!
