Viburnum Awabuki Chindo and deer resistance - Knowledgebase Question

I am interested in purchasing a viburnum awabuki chindo and am wondering how deer resistant it is. I have had trouble with some other viburnums herein Athens, but they did not have such thick looking leaf structure. Have you any information regarding this?
Also wondering if it would flower in a partially shaded area?
Thanks,
Lenore

Lenore,

It will bloom in a partial shade location if there is good light intensity. Not all shades are equal. Partial shade however should be fine. The deer are difficult to predict. I have no info on this particular viburnum regarding deer resistance but as you indicated viburnums in general can be chomped by deer. Thus I would not expect this one to be resistant.

Thanks for the question. Please stop in again soon!
