Our tibouchina was planted about 8 month ago in full sun and was growing and blooming quickly. We had a few hot days followed by our usual foggy weather. I watered when I saw it looking droopy. Within about 3 days it looked brown and dead. Does this sound like the tree is beyond repair? |
Tibouchina is not very heat tolerant and will often die to the ground when subjected to hot sunshine (or frost). Cut away the dead portions of your Tibouchina and if the roots are healthy, you'll see new growth emerging next spring. Best wishes with your Princess Flower! |
