|I know that my bronze phormium must be brought in for the winter. Since it is really large, can I cut it back as I would a grass that is hardy and store it? I really don't want to lose this beautiful plant.
|You could cut it back quite short and wait for it to regrow next summer. Or, to find more space, maybe you could store it in a dark and cool location for the winter, perhaps an unheated basement or garage where temperatures are about 45 degrees. Water lightly, just enough to keep the soil from going bone dry while it is in storage. I hope this helps.
