Inexpensive/low maintenance ground cover needed - Knowledgebase Question

PLEASE, can you suggest any inexpensive/low maintenance/low growth groundcover options for a steeply-pitched earthen wall (7 ft.high x 100 ft.long)? The wall abuts a lawn, so I can't use anything invasive. I'm at my wits end. Thank you.

That is a tough set of specifications to fill. If the area is sunny an ornamental grass such as dwarf fountain grass might be nice. Trailing lantana (Lantana montevidensis) in either the white or purple form would also be a good choice.
