|Can you suggest some shrubs that dont grow too high 3- 4 foot max. We would like to use them as a privicy fence around our southfacing pool in Florida. Lots of sun on some and others will be in partial shade. They should have easy maintence maybe with a flower. We are inland so no sea breeze. how close should we plant them?|
Some shrubs to consider include Everblooming Gardenia (Gardenia jasminoides 'Veitchii'), Dwarf Bottlebrush (Callistemon citrinus 'Little John'), various types of Spiraea japonica such as 'Neon Flash', Razzleberri Fringe Flower (Loropetalum chinense 'Monraz'), and dwarf Nandinas (Nandina domestica) such as 'Sienna Sunrise', 'Plum Passion' and 'Moon Bay'.
Planting distance varies with each of these. As a general rule plant them the width of the mature plant apart. See plant tag for plant height and width.
