|I live in Metairie , La. , just outside New Orleans . We are looking for two trees for our front yard which would not have a very extensive root structure . Our gardener suggested dwarf magnolias .We don't want anything too tall because then you can't see the house . Can you give us some ideas ? We would consider palm trees . What about lime trees ? |Answer from NGA

'Little Gem' dwarf magnolia would be a very nice choice. Another might be a large crape myrtle variety such as 'Natchez' that is trained to a single trunk tree form. Even a smaller crape would be a good choice.
Thanks for the question. Please stop in again soon!
