Will a green leaved monrovia flower indoors during winter in Lower NY? Plants will be in front of window with Southern exposure. (Or should I overwinter it in my garage? In the spring I would bring the container back out again.

Unfortunately, I am not certain which plant you have; Monrovia sells so many different plants. Some of the tropicals, such as hibiscus, can be flowered indoors over the winter however others such as lantana really need more light than would be available from a window alone. Also, depending which plant you have it may or may not be warm enough for it in a garage.

If by chance your plant is a green leafed euryops, you might be able to overwinter it in a very sunny window with a relatively cool room temperature of say 60 degrees. These usually do not do well indoors and are therefore sold as annuals in cold winter climates such as yours.

If you want to try to keep it, I would suggest storing it in a garage at about 40 degrees, keep the soil just barely damp, prune it back hard in the spring. Take it back outside when the weather moderates to wake up naturally with the season.
