ICEE BLUE? YELLOW-WOOD - Knowledgebase Question

Will this new podocarpus survive in a garden only about 2000 ft. from the Pacific? This will be planted in our backyard on the east side of a fence and therefore somewhat blocked from the prevailing ocean winds. Several plant species are not faring well here due to the salt content of the fog and breezes. Therefore, if the above will not do well here, could you remommend a podocarpus that would! Thank you!

In general terms, podocarpus is highly salt-tolerant. Topping the list is Podocarpus macrophyllus 'Maki'. 'Icee Blue' is moderately salt-tolerant and should grow well in the situation you describe. Best wishes with your landscape!
