I bought and planted a crape myrtle this summer and now have decided to plant another near the first. I want to do it this year so they will look the same size. It is almost December and at night can get into the 30's. It is around the 50's during the day. My nursery still has them though and the one I have is just now starting to lose its leaves. Will it survive this late in the season or should I wait till next summer to get one? I live in Greensboro, NC. |
You can plant any time the ground is not frozen so I'd go ahead and plant the myrtle now. Be sure to water it in well after planting. In spring it should be well established and ready to grow. Enjoy! |
