Question by lanylony

Are birds attracted to the berries, are they edible for birds? Also, how can I get the trees to produce more berries? The trees are about 10 feet tall and had been planted in 2002.

Holly berries are often eaten by birds. The key to good berry production is good light exposure for the plant and having a pollinator variety somewhat nearby. While some holly plants may produce okay without a pollinator, with a good one nearby the berry production would be better.

Hope this helps!
