|Sago palms can be planted just like any other tree or shrub - dig a hole just as deep and slightly wider than the nursery pot. You'll want the finished grade to be equal to the depth the palm was growing before. Unpot the palm, loosen the roots a little, then set it in the hole and backfill with native soil. Tamp it down gently and then water deeply to help settle the soil. Be sure to water your sago palm deeply once each week to help it develop a deep and healthy root system.
