We have planted 2 evergreen ash (Fraxinii Griffithii) 1.5m front fence line, we would like to know can we prune the trees to keep them approx 2.5m height. And are the roots invasive, and would they damage our fences, lawn etc. Thank you for your assistance. Sonia |
While you can prune an evergreen ash tree, it will eventually grow much larger than the desired 2.5m. It would be better to find a small patio tree that will remain small in stature than try to keep a large tree such as an ash within bounds with constant pruning. How about a dwarf citrus tree or a bay tree (Laurus nobilis) instead? |
