African Iris - Knowledgebase Question

We have several over-grown bunches of African Irises....last summer and spring the blossoms were very sparce. I would like to prune them and divide some of the clumps. Not sure when or how I should do this and if by chance I could cut them all off just above ground hopes that they would come back...just new growth, not all the dried leaves, etc. Thanks you.

You can divide them now if you like. Just do so in the next couple of weeks for best results. Cut them back to about 6 inches high and take a shovel and cut down through the clump to separate it into small groups of plants. Then replant them where you like.

Thanks for the question. Please stop in again soon!
