|I have a volunteer tree that came in a plant I bought 5 years ago, it's leaves look just like a almond tree leaves, it blooms in early spring with small yellow flowers, then it gets little fruit looking things like a fruitless mulberry (except smaller) then it gets leaves.
In 5 years it has gone from a seed to 30 + ft tall. New growth is very flexable and takes as much as a year to stiffen up. Lots of people have looked at it and no ones knows what it is.
Any idea?? Thanks for your time. Bertha
|Really wish I could identify the tree for you, but without seeing it, I'd only be guessing. Your best bet would be to take a flower sample into the Cooperative Extension office or Master Gardener clinic. They can key the flower out and find the family. Then you can determine which member of the family your tree might be. Best wishes with your research!|
