| Darlene, If you have two palms growing in a container you can separate them to plant them in different places. They will lose some roots in the process of separation but with good care will recover in time. They need a sunny to part shade location. They may be a little cold tender for your area so you should consider planting them in a protected area such as near the home or a tall wall.
