I moved to the southwest border of MO; rocks! rocks! rocks! What can I do? what can I grow?

There are probably more rocks than are practical to remove, but if not over time you can get the larger ones out and slowly improve a spot for growing things. I suggest you turn lemons to lemonaide by creating a landscape of native and adapted plants that add to the beauty of the site as the rocks can be attractive features of the landscape. Creating a rock garden where rocks and plants intermingle is a great option in areas like yours.
