Is there a list of parennials that snails and slugs will not eat for USDA zone 9 (Western garden zone 14)? I now live in a gardening zone that has lots of snails and slugs as garden pests. I've never had to deal with these pests before. I want to plan a new garden with only the types of perennials that snails and slugs won't eat. I'm hoping someone has a list. |
There are some plants rarely bothered by slugs and snails. Among them are ferns of all kinds, plus the following perennials: Acanthus Achillea Aconitum Alchemilla Anemone x hybrida Aquilegia Astilbe Astrantia Crocosmia Dicentra Digitalis Echinops Epimedium Erysimum Euphorbia Geranium Geum Helleborus Hemerocallis Knautia Linaria Lysimachia Nepeta Paeonia Papaver Penstemon Polemonium Polygonatum Potentilla Pulmonaria Sedum Stachys Verbascum Veronica Best wishes with your garden! |
