Hello...I have a Breath of Heaven shrub which from the bottom to halfway up the shrub it appears to be dead, it is completely brown, the top half is green and now I see it is flowering...I've grown one before with no problems but this one has me mystified....I think maybe its the soil, should I feed it and if so, what with....I'd appreciate any help you can give me on this....Thank you

Breath of Heaven usually needs only light pruning to keep the plant compact (prune immediately after flowering is finished). Yours doesn't sound as though it's very happy. I'd prune it back a bit after flowering to force growth lower down on the branches and then I'd feed it with an all purpose fertilizer (10-10-10 or 20-20-20) in amounts as recommended on the fertilizer label. Best wishes with your garden!
