I LOVE HYDRANGEAS BUT I HEARD THEY ARE NOT DEER RESISTANT? IS THIS TRUE?

In my experience deer will eat hydrangeas, yes. Keep in mind also that even if considered deer resistant, a plant is not deer-proof. The more intense the browse pressure in your area, the more likely they are to eat a wider variety of different plants. Your neighbors may be able to tell you which plants your local deer population prefers and so far still leaves alone. I wish I could be more encouraging.
