re Prunus cerasifera 'Krauter's Vesuvius': Will it tolerate some shade and some acidity? I want to plant in an area that is near a pine tree that sheds a fair amount of needles at certain times of the year and creates some afternoon shade.
thank you.

Prunus cerasifera 'Krauter's Vesuvius' will adapt to any soil type and grows best in full sunshine. It will tolerate a few hours of afternoon sunshine. If the site is too shady, growth will be rank and foliage will be small. If this occurs, you'll want to move it to a sunnier spot.
