| Yews will grow in Chicago, especially when given some afternoon shade. If you have a completely sunny site, you might consider one of the following juniper suggestions: Juniperus chinensis ?Fairview? ? Bright green, narrow pyramidal growing to 15 feet; silver cones look like berries in fall. Good vigorous grower. J. chinensis ?Iowa? ? Blue-green, open pyramidal growing to 15 feet; spread to 8 feet.
