Looking for tree variety that can be planted close to a patio thatwill provide shade or dappled shade, but won't get too large...a vase shape tree???? |
There are a number of trees you could use. Your selection depends in part on the actual size you have in mind, whether or not you would like a flowering tree, and what the growing conditions are where you want to plant it (amount of sun, wind exposure, soil moisture, etc.) You might consider mountain ash, maples, flowering crabapples and ornamental cherries, among many others. Your local professionally trained and certified nurseryman should be able to help you evaluate the growing conditions and space available for the tree and identify trees that would thrive there, then you could select the one you like best from those. Enjoy your new tree! |
