Three possibilities for you are Indian Laurel Fig (Ficus nitida), a fast growing evergreen; Cape Honeysuckle (Tecomaria capensis), another evergreen with trumpet shaped orange flowers from spring through fall; and hibiscus, which is mostly evergreen and comes in all kinds of flower color variations. Any of these will grow well in your Tucson area garden, provided they are watered regularly.

Best wishes with your landscape!
