|I have a 10+ year old weeping mullberry tree (6ft) which the gas company is forcing me to move. Can I move it, will it survive and how difficult will it be?

|Unfortunately I think it will be difficult to move it. With an older tree it is better to root prune it the year before to prepare it for being moved. Without root pruning in advance you will lose most of its roots. You will need to take a big root ball, and it will be very heavy. Normally one would use a commercial tree spade to dig a tree that size/caliper. You might also want to consult on site with a professionally trained and certified arborist for a more specific opinion about your particular tree. I'm sorry I can't be more encouraging.
