|I would like to plant a hedge that will grow around 4 ft. I would like the top to be under a window. I want 3 hedges to grow together to make one continuous hedge. Any suggestions? I am in zone 7. Should I plant some type of holly bush? Thanks!|
|Here are a few suggestons for yo:|
Ligustrum obtusifolium var. regelianum (Regel's border privet): grows 4' tall; has white flowers in late June.
Chinese holly 'Rotunda' (Ilex cornuta) Dwarf Chinese holly grows only to 3 to 4 feet tall and 6 to 8 feet wide.
Cotoneaster dammeri ?Coral Beauty? grows 3-4? tall x 4-6? wide; a low prostrate vigorous shrub with dark lustrous green foliage in summer and purple green in Fall. Easy to grow in well drained soil and very adaptable.
Alpine Green Mound (Ribas alpinum) ?Green Mound? grows 3? tall x 3? wide. a dwarf dense compact shrub with bright green leaves in summer. Makes an excellent low hedge or foundation plant. Easy to grow and disease resistant.
