|Every year we place a colorful garden of pots around our pool and every year we have to move the flowering plants out to prevent fallen blossoms from littering the pool and deck. Mid-summer we are infested with aphids and tiny white, flying parasites that are difficult to control. Are there any colorful, non-messy plants that don't attract aphids and these little white bugs?|
Good question! Pretty plants are often also a bit messy. You might try perennial hibiscus (not the tropical types), yellow bells (Tecoma stans), Oleanders (plants are poisonous), or perhaps bottle brush plants.
Thanks for the question. Please stop in again soon!
