I am looking for a tree to plant close to the house to fill a tall space (about 8'tall & no more than 4' wide). This space is also about 3-4' from driveway and a sidewalk. I would like something medium to fast growing

This is such a small space that a tree will soon outgrow it. Instead of trees, you might look at shrubs such as rose of Sharon (Hibiscus syriacus) or PeeGee hydrangea trained as a tree form, a smaller maturing Crepe myrtle, or even a wisteria vine trained on a sturdy post and pruned into a tree form. Your local county extension and/or professionally trained nursery staff should be able to help you analyze the growing conditions (amount of sun or shade, soil type and moisture levels, wind exposure, reflected heat and so on) and identify plants that would thrive there. Then you could select the one you like best from those. Best of luck with your planting project!
