I currently live in south Florida but previously lived in Maryland and always enjoyed the beauty of th Hydrangea. I would like to consider planting some here but I am not sure how they will do. It looks like I am right on the edge as far as the zone I live in for temperature. Plus, I havent seen any nurseries or stores that carry plants with any stock of hydrangea. Am I out of luck?

Your heat zone is just too far north for a hydrangea to perform well. It would be a risk. If you decide to try one make sure and keep it in bright shade and give it a soil with lots of compost mixed in. Water enough to maintain even moisture in the soil.
