You can feed your hibiscus in early spring just as the new growth begins. Use a general purpose garden fertilizer (10-10-10 or 20-20-20) in amounts and with the frequency as recommended on the label. I use a liquid 20-20-20 and feed from a hose-end sprayer in the spring, wetting the foliage as well as the root zone. This gives the plants ample opportunity to absorb the fertilizer from both the roots and the leaves and seems to make them green up a little faster. Best wishes with your garden!
