|Our newly planted red delicious apple tree is showing yellow leaves. Planted this spring in the piedmont area of Georgia. Used Miracle grow soil and fertilizer spikes as recommended on HD tree tag. The problem is ?|
Yellowing foliage may be a sign of root stress (soggy wet or dry) or possibly nitrogen deficiency if it is the older leaves that are yellowing first. If younger foliage is yellowing it may be longer term root damage from soggy conditions or a lack of iron in the soil. I suspect your tree will pull out of this soon with the Miracle Grow treatments and proper soil moisture levels.
