I HAVE A PLANT THAT LOOKS LIKE IT HAS WHITE STRINGS HANGING ON IT. SMELLS GOOD, NOT VERY STRONG SMELLING.

Unfortunately, based on your description I am not certain what kind of plant you have. It is possible you have a plant that is being parasitized by dodder, if there are strings hanging on it. Here is a photo and description of that.
