I am planting pachandri on a small hill next to my house. How far apart
should the plants be?

I think you are asking about pachysandra, the evergreen ground cover plant. A typical spacing would be about a foot apart. Mulch in between them to control weeds and limit erosion while waiting for them to fill in. Also make sure the soil is kept evenly moist while they are becoming established. Pachysandra does best in a shady area with evenly moist, organic soil.
