Hi, I bought several Chameleon Houttuynia last year. They grew beautifully, had many flowers and lasted well into the fall. We did not cut them down for the winter, we just left them alone. My question is, they have not even started to bud yet this year, it almost looks as though we've lost them. WHen are these plants suppose to bloom again. Thanks, Linda |
In my experience this plant tends to come up very late in the spring so I think it is too early to worry yet. Give it a few more weeks. In the meantime, if the old stems are dried out and dead you can go ahead and cut them off. The new growth will be coming up from the ground. I hope this helps. |
