Prayer Plant - Knowledgebase Question

I have a 2-year old prayer plant that has been growing very well. About a year ago, in addition to growing more leaves, it also started sending these long tendrils that look like roots over the top of the pot. As these roots grow longer, they eventually curve upwards and start sprouting leaves. These appear to be new plants. I have actually cut some of these off and planted into new soil and they seem to be doing well. I just wanted to see if this is normal behavior and if it is OK to cut them off the main plant and transfer to new containters. Thank you.

What you describe sound like aerial roots and it's perfectly normal behavior for a Prayer Plant. It's a nifty way to get lots more new plants so go ahead and cut them off and plant them in soil. Enjoy!
