Mountain Laurel - Knowledgebase Question

I have a mountain laurel that has been planted for 2 years and it is not blooming. Why? Any suggestions?

Sometimes they are slow to get started but it should begin blooming in the next year or two. Make sure and not overwater or overfertilize it. Don't prune it from mid summer through winter or you'll be removing bloom buds. It really doesn't need pruning anyway. I noticed this year that several Texas Mtn. Laurels in our area did not bloom. Perhaps the very mild winter played a part in that.
