You may be surprised how fast your hydrangea grows! Plan on transplanting to a larger pot when it outgrows its current one (which may be sooner than you think). You'll know it needs repotting when the roots begin to escape through the drainage holes. A good rule of thumb is that the pot should be one-third as tall as the plant is. This will keep your plant from looking top-heavy and will help keep it from toppling over if it's bumped or the wind catches it. Enjoy your new hydrangea! |
