What is the best way to protect Hydrangeas from rainfall so that the leaves don't rot?

If the leaves are mushy from excessive moisture your only recourse might be to move it. Plant it under a tree to act as an umbrella, or place it in a pot and move it to a protected area in the garden. Wish I had more ideas for you!
