I have three calla lilies planted at the same location, two were planted last summer and one was planted in last winter ( six months later than those two planted in the summer ). The most recently planted calla lily is growing well but the two which were planted earlier do not grow well -- the leaves are coming out smaller & smaller and yellowing and the branch are very short. I gave them the same care so what's going on with those two which don't grow well? are they sick? how do I tell? if they are sick, how do I control the disease?

Also I planted many Bougainvilleas. They are in two locations. In one location they are doing very well. In the other location, they are not doing well (they don't bloom and they don't grow branches and the leaves are very small), both location get about the same amount of sun, water, fertilizer, so why one location they don't grow well? how do I fix the ones which do not grow well?

I appreciate your answers in advance!

Since you're having trouble with the same plants in different areas of the garden, I'd suspect some soil problems. Either too wet or too dry, and lacking in nutrients. The kindest thing you can do for your plants is to dig them up, amend the soil with organic matter, and replant them. Organic matter such as compost, aged manure, leaf mould or peat moss will loosen the soil and enrich it so the plant roots can get the moisture and nutrients they need. Amended soil will drain well yet hold just the right amount of moisture to encourage healthy root growth which will be reflected in healthy top growth. Best wishes with your garden!
