Can Hydrangea-royal purple be planted in direct sun? Do you carry them? Same question for Butterfly Bush-Empire Blue.

Hydrangeas prefer morning sun and filtered afternoon sunlight. Direct afternoon sun results in wilty, drooping leaves. Butterfly bush like full sunshine all day. Monrovia does not carry a royal-purple hydrangea but the Bluebird lacecap hydrangea will take on a purplish hue if the soil pH is 6 to 7.0. Best wishes with your garden!
